We know you’re excited about our first-ever Mommy x Me event, and we are too! Here are some answers to your top questions so you’ll know what to expect at this fun-filled celebration.
What can I expect?
Mommy x Me is a party! That means great ambiance, lively upbeat music, tasty treats both savoury and sweet. It will be a fun afternoon for you to meet other wonderful ladies in a unique, one-of-kind experience. To bring the celebration to the next level, we’ve added tons of extra activities for you to enjoy at your leisure. Indulge in pampering manis, or go glam and have your make-up done and get a professional photoshoot. This will be the most Insta-worthy event, so come prepared to strike a pose at our many photobooths and photo-inspiring zones. You may also choose to get moving by joining the fitness fun during the kid-friendly Zumba routines, or share your best dance moves at the exuberant dance sessions! And if you need to recharge, there are plenty of calming activities too! We’ll have arts & crafts and even a storytime zone! There will also be great fashion, beauty and goodies from local businesses for you to discover. You’ll be walking around a dreamland filled with things to enjoy and great people to meet! If that’s not enough, we’ve added 2 incredible panel talks to discuss mommy daughter life, empowering our girls and work life balance tips. We’ll have one panel with the most popular bloggers & influencers and a second panel with some of Montreal’s most respected #MomBosses. Did we mention there’s also a slew of fabulous prizes to be won too?!? It’s going to be an inspiring, fun-filled day that you will NOT want to miss! Get your tickets fast!
What to wear?
Party chic in pretty pastels. This is THE party to be seen at, so look your very best for all those photo opportunities! Any shade of pretty pastel is fine – pink, blush, pale yellow, mint, peach, white, beige, baby blue, light grey.
Who may attend this event?
This special event is for ladies of all ages! Little wee ladies to fabulous senior ones too. EVERY age is the perfect age to party with us!!! Baby bump? Come join us! Newborns? Great! Energetic toddler? Yes! Kids, teens, tweens, women of all ages! We have something for all of you ladies. The younger ones may enjoy arts & crafts, while us older ladies will love a professional photoshoot and getting pampered with manis and make-up! And if you don’t have a child or a daughter? No worries, this is a women-focused event. YOU can be the daughter and bring YOUR mom to experience a special afternoon. There are no age limits for a fun-filled afternoon together. You’ll get to meet other fabulous women, get pampered and inspired with our interesting panel talks. There’s so much to see and do, so join in our dreamland experience!
What age should my child be?
Whether you have a baby-in-the-tummy, wee little one, energetic toddler, little girl, tween, teen or even a grown-up girl…this event is for you and your daughter to enjoy together! We’ll have something wonderful for all age groups! You may choose to participate or not participate in whatever you wish. It’s a party so you may do whatever your child feels comfortable with. There will also be rest areas where you may sit and relax with your child too.
May I come if I’m not a mom?
Yes! This is an event for ladies of all ages, and whether you’re a mom or not. You may not be a mom yourself, but you’re certainly a daughter! That’s right, YOU can be the daughter (there’s no age limit), so why not bring YOUR mom to partake in the day! Moms, grandmas, cool aunties, godmoms, best friends! This event is catered to women, so we’re welcoming everyone to join in on the fun! The only requirement is a smile and the excitement to experience the dreamland we’re creating for you!
Maybe arts and crafts won’t be for you, but you’ll certainly enjoy the manis, make-up, photo opportunities and the inspiring panels. Plus, you’ll get to spend the afternoon with so many wonderful women. It’s the perfect opportunity to make new friends!
What if I have a son or husband?
This event is catered to women and will be very girly fabulous. However, if you have a son or husband who doesn’t want to miss out, you may bring them as well. Give them a friendly-warning that it’s mostly ladies and they will be outnumbered. If they are fine with that ratio, come along! It’s a happy party and we welcome everyone. Just remember to also dress them up in pastels. We have to keep our cute theme you know!
Will there be food?
Definitely! We’re foodies and a party is never complete without food and drinks. Your ticket includes food and drink. Please note as this is a kid-friendly afternoon event, there will be no alcohol served. We’ll make up for that with the sugar overload.
May I take pictures/video?
Of course! We’ve created the ultimate dreamland for you to enjoy every part of it! So please take as many pictures and videos as you wish. Just be sure to share with us, as we want to see your wonderful memories too. Don’t forget to use our hashtag #mommyxme and tag our Instagram @mommyxmevip
Are there extra fees?
Your ticket includes all the food, drink, activities, arts & crafts, dance, fitness, manis, make-up, photo sessions, panel talks, raffle prizes, you name it. No extra fees for participation or giggles.
How long are the panel talks?
There will be two panel talks to discuss mommy daughter life, empowering our girls and work life balance tips. The panel with the most popular bloggers & influencers will be 45-minutes and the panel with Montreal’s most respected #MomBosses will be 30 minutes. There will a limited number of audience seating in front of the stage. However, you will hear the panel discussions throughout the event space over the speakers. So if your child doesn’t want to stay seated, prefers to walk around, sit in the lounge area or do crafts – you will still hear everything and not miss out. The schedule and time for each panel has not yet been finalized, we will share when ready.
Where may I park?
8 Queen is located in beautiful Old Montreal at the corner of de la Commune O. There is convenient street parking around the building and indoor parking at Cite Multimedia parking lot (located across venue at 75 Queen. Fee for weekend $7 – subject to change by Cite Multimedia).
Will tickets sell out?
Yes, we have limited space available and recommend purchasing your tickets as soon as possible. Don’t miss out on this special event!
